The Field of Prey

This is the first book of John Sandford’s that I have ever read. And it was not a disappointment. The plot alone was deep enough to get lost in. Every chapter left me wanting more. Reading from Davenports perspective and the switch between the killers perspective added such a good touch to the story. Finishing this book literally had me clutching my chest. Like what is life???!!!¬†¬†John Sandford is such an amazing writer. I’m still not over this book and I finished this about a week ago. Such a good read! I enjoyed this book so much, I started reading the Davenport series. I just finished The Gathering Prey so that will be the next entry.

If you like crime centered books, than I recommend you give John Sandfords work a chance.

Until next time, until the next book…

Fahrenheit 451-Pt 2

imageI finished this book a few weeks ago and I just haven’t had the time to write my final response until now. I have such mixed emotions about this book. It took me a very long time to connect to the book as a whole. And I’m not going to give the ending away, but there’s a happy ending. I am such a sucker for a happy ending. But within that happy ending there were some disappointing moments. I was angry at the wife for her actions, and I was rooting so hard for her and the main character to find their groove, to work it out. I wanted him to make her believe in the goodness of books instead of fearing it. I won’t dwell too much on what unfolded between her and him, but I must say that I am glad he got a way.

As much as I had a tough time finishing this book, I kind of wish there was a part 2, because I would love to know how life changed for the main character and the ones he started traveling with after the war came. Do books ever exist without being a crime?

Until next time, until the next book…
