First of all. Sci-fi and horror smashed together is my new favorite thing! I did not know what to expect with this book when I picked it as my next read. But I am sure glad that I gave it a shot. I will say that this book will be for a specific reader, I am not sure that everyone would have loved it as much as I did. And the way that it ended was RUDE! I need more. Talk about a CLIFF HANGER!!! I am such an emotional and animated reader, so there were definitely parts where I was screaming, and talking back as I was reading. Enough about me, let me tell you about the book.

When a crew gets an urgent distress call, they are sent to a planet with no inhabitants with the notion that they are preforming a search and rescue mission. When the crew gets to the planet what they find makes no sense at all. Discarded weapons arise the question of ‘where is the crew?’

“It got in us.”

After scouring the planet, the crew comes across dead bodies EVERYWHERE! And find messages from a crew member written in his own blood. “Don’t trust the kid”

It is soon clear that this search and rescue mission they were sent on, is more than they bargain for. And as they try and solve the mystery of who and or what has killed an entire crew of their men the mission takes a drastic turn.

And they soon realize that some monsters lie dormant while others are just waiting to wake up.

Until next time, until the next book.

A Wrinkle In Time

Ahh! It has been too long since I have posted something. This post is very dear to my heart because one of my books are coming to life on the big screen this weekend. A Wrinkle In Time. Madeleine Engle really stroked the chords of my soul with this trilogy. And I know most of the people going to see the movie are kids, and teenagers who probably don’t even know what such a good book this is (sorry kids).

When I first read this book, I was captivated by the story the more it developed. Traveling through time with the characters was always a favorite of mine. It says a lot about a book when it allows you to go on the journey with the characters….those are my favorite type of books. In honor of this beautiful story coming to theaters this weekend, I will travel in time again and enjoy this story. I will be back with more in depth with a review on this book. I just couldn’t wait to share my excitement with you guys about this!
